People used to avoid discussing death. However, recent trends have seen more people openly discuss it. Many questions are raised about what happens after someone dies. Before I can move to my point, I’d like to share some of the beliefs I believe.
The atheist view regarding the afterlife would be my first choice. Atheists believe that God is not real and there is no Supreme Being. A few atheists believe that a person’s death is the end. Others believe there are spirits and reincarnation. Buddhists believe that reincarnation is possible, as well as the cycle of death & rebirth. The beliefs of Christians about the afterlife are influenced by which denomination they belong to. They believe Jesus died to pay for their sins and was resurrected on day three. The belief that your moral choices on Earth will determine whether you end up in hell or heaven is also shared by them. My Christian belief in the afterlife is what I support. It means that your actions on earth determine whether you will end up in Heaven, Hell, or both. In the final judgment, souls and bodies will be reunited with each other and there will be eternal punishments and rewards.
The Holy Bible is the best source of information for the defense and promotion of Christian beliefs. 2 Timothy 3:16-17 in The Bible says that all scripture is inspired by God. It is also profitable for doctrine and correction. This is so that the man God might be perfectly furnished for all good works. This shows that the Bible wasn’t written from the opinions of men but by God’s inspiration. We now have the proof. John 3:16 explains that God loves the world so much, He gave His only Son, Jesus Christ, to make it eternal. The life on earth is the everlasting life.
The expression “everlasting life” refers here to the afterlife. Jesus Christ was speaking to His disciples in John 14 and telling them He would prepare a place. He also said that His father had many mansions. He was not referring to His father’s Miami house or New Jersey home. He was referring to His Heavenly home, which you can visit based on your choices here on Earth.
The bible also has 1 John 5:13-14 that talks about eternal life. This verse says, “I write this to you who believe that the Son of God is your Savior so that you can know that you are blessed with eternal life.” This is how we approach God with confidence: he will answer us if we ask him anything according his will.” Luke 16:19-30 tells of a rich man who was beggar and a man named Lazarus. Lazarus used to beg outside rich men’s homes. Even ate the breadcrumbs from the table of the rich man. Lazarus and the rich man both died. Lazarus, who was rich, was sent by angels up to Abraham’s bosom. Father Abraham stated to the rich man that Heaven and Hell were vastly different so that he could not help him. These events occurred after their deaths. The afterlife continues even after their deaths.
Matthew 7:13-14 reads, “Enter through narrow gate.” Many will enter the narrow gate because it is large and wide. But narrow is the way that leads to happiness, and it’s only small. The narrow and broad paths are what the bible spoke of. The wide way leads to disaster. Here, destruction does not mean literal death but the infernal descent into hell. The narrow way leads you to life, which is the eternal afterlife in Heaven. Many other scriptures speak of eternal life. Some examples include Psalms 3:1-7, Deuteronomy 9 5-7, Proverbs 11:30-34 and Ephesians 2 :8-10. Job 14:14-16.
Although these views are Christians’, Catholics believe that there is an afterlife. The Catholic Church believes all people who die in God’s grace or friendship are purified.
We now know that there is a life beyond this life. Let’s now look at the possible destinations to live these lives. Heaven and Hell are two of the destinations described in the Bible. Heaven is the destination for the saved, while Hell is the destination for the unsaved. It is stated in revelation 19:20 that the “Beast was captured” and the “False prophet” who performed the signs for it. These signs had deceived those who had been given the mark of beast and worshiped it. The fiery lake of sulfur-burning sulfur was thrown at them both. Hell is described to be a place filled with pain and torment. It is also known as a fiery lake with burning sulfur. It is not something I would consider a fun place. It was built for the devil as well as all other people not saved. This shows that there will still be another life after death. It can either be in this place or in Heaven. There are many verses in Scripture that speak of hell, but I won’t be able to list them all due to page number restrictions. Among these are Matthew 25.46; Revelation 21:8, Revelation 23:8, Psalm 9 :17, Matthew 13 :50, and many others. Heaven, the second destination, is for those who are children of God. “We know that, even if our tent is destroyed, God has a building for us, an unmade house that will be eternal in the skies. For we long to take off our heavenly dwelling. Even though we are still inside this tent, our groaning is a sign that we are being burdened. It’s not that we would become naked, but that the material that is eternal may be replaced by something more comfortable. God is the One who has prepared our hearts for this. He has given us the Spirit, which gives us the assurance that we will be able to endure any kind of hardship. This Heavenly place is described in the bible as many times. Here are some verses to help you.
People have many different beliefs about what happens after death. According to the Christian view, there is both heaven and Hell. They strive to live uprightly and adhere to the Bible’s teachings.
