Lincoln Cole’s Raven’s Peak revolves around an insanity which has suddenly swept a small community with the name of the book. Abigail, a woman who has saved Haatim from a dangerous situation, is asked to investigate. Both must work together to solve the mystery of Raven’s Peak.
Raven’s Peak’s choice of description at each moment was what I liked. The reader can use their imagination to fill in certain gaps or be able to place themselves accurately in others. The fighting scenes are also well-written and do not drag out. Raven’s Peak’s interaction between Abigail & Haatim is what I loved most. Their opposite yet similar personalities were well-balanced. The characters were believable and natural, even when they were arguing. Raven’s Peak had a strong prologue and the first chapters were interesting, but before the middle, it felt a little slow. After about halfway, the book picked up and became very entertaining. Abigail’s willingness to divulge personal details to Haatim was not my favorite. Her character was meant to be strong and not vulnerable. It’s a short book, but I wish there had been a way for Abigail to be more open. Raven’s Peak is rated 3 out 4 stars. It is a 3 out of 4 star rating, even though I would have liked some things to be different. I still enjoyed the book. This is a very short and nice first book. I’d recommend it for those who want to read a story that has a strong supernatural element. It’s an ideal book for new readers and seasoned readers alike.
I’d definitely recommend this book. Like all books, this one is not perfect. However, it’s worth checking out. The scenes are well-set and the characters get along well. Raven’s Peak, a new addition to the supernatural mystery genre, is a fantastic book.
